Privacy Policy

Zen Cleaner ("the App", "we", "us") is a photo, video and contact cleaning app for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what the App does — and, more importantly, does not do — with your information.

The short version: Zen Cleaner does not collect your data. Everything the App does happens locally on your device. We have no servers, no account system and no analytics. We never see your photos, videos or contacts.

Zen Cleaner works entirely on your device. We do not operate a backend, we do not require an account, and we do not transmit your content or a profile of you to us or to any third party for our own purposes.

2. How the App uses on-device data

To do its job, the App needs to read certain information on your device. This information is processed locally and is never uploaded to us.

Photos and videos

With your permission, the App reads your photo library to find similar or duplicate photos, blurred shots, screenshots, screen recordings and large videos, and to help you free up space. Image analysis (finding look-alikes and choosing the best shot in a group) is performed on-device using Apple's Vision framework. When you choose to delete items, the deletion is carried out by iOS through the system photo library; deleted items go to the Recently Deleted album and can be restored there for 30 days before iOS removes them permanently.

You can grant full or limited photo access, or deny access entirely, from the iOS Settings app at any time. The App only reads what iOS allows it to see.

Contacts

With your permission, the App reads your contacts to find duplicate and empty entries and to help you merge duplicates into a single contact. All of this happens on-device. Merging and deleting contacts is performed through the system contacts store on your explicit action. The optional backup feature exports your contacts to a standard .vcf file that you control and share through the iOS share sheet — the file is never sent to us.

You can revoke contacts access at any time from the iOS Settings app.

3. Subscriptions and payments

Zen Cleaner offers an optional auto-renewing subscription (Zen Cleaner Pro). All purchases are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase. We never see or receive your credit card number, billing address or Apple ID password.

Payment, billing and renewal are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy and the terms of your Apple Account. The App only learns whether an active entitlement exists so it can unlock Pro features. You can view or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device.

4. No tracking, no advertising SDKs

The App contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA). We do not build advertising profiles and we do not participate in cross-app or cross-site tracking.

5. Children

Zen Cleaner is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

6. Your rights

Because we do not collect or store your personal data, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on our side. You remain in full control of your content through the iOS Photos and Contacts apps and your device settings, and you can uninstall the App at any time.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
